Strengths
The Rio Vista Elementary School CARES is a well rounded program with strong support from our students' parents. This support occurs due to our strong tie to the community in Bay Point. Financially we are supported by grants from both state and city initiatives as well as annual fundraisers.
Challenges
In order to maintain the high quality of services being offered to our students there is an ongoing need to train and provide mentorship opportunities for the CARES staff. There is an ongoing need to find culturally diverse activities that can help to prepare students for their future.
